Meringues are one of my fondest childhood memories, aside from playing
games, and imagining them in chocolate flavor sounds absolutely delightful.
To make this recipe, superfine sugar, cocoa powder and egg whites are needed. Heat and pour water into a large bowl. Add egg whites with sugar into the small bowl and place this bowl in the large bowl. Beat until mixture becomes frothy and thick. Remove the small bowl from heat and resume beating until the egg whites become stiff. Add the cocoa powder and mix it with the whites, then put the meringue in a pastry bag. Form finger shapes onto the baking sheet and place in a preheated oven. Bake for 45 minutes and let it cool afterwards outside the oven.
This recipe will already make about 30 meringue fingers that you can keep in a tight cookie jar to last longer.
