Bakeware can be made of many types of materials among them anodized aluminum, stainless steel, silicone, insulated, non-stick, tinned steel, stone, aluminum and glass. Different types of materials require different caring procedures. Let's zero in on glass bakeware.
What's nice about glass is that it conducts heat excellently. It's also one of its weak points. The danger is in taking it out of the oven and placing it immediately in the
fridge or washing. Doing it the other way around, however, doesn't pose any possible cracking. Glass is excellent for fudgy and creamy baking since it is easy to wash off the food that got stuck in it.
To clean and care for glass bakeware, scour it with rough nylon pad instead of metal scrapers. Note: Don't use abrasive cleaners and wash it with warm soapy water.
