health conscious people are becoming more aware of the health benefits of vegetarian and seafood recipe diets. Vegetables and seafood have lesser calorie per serving than animal meat. They also have lower saturated fats and cholesterol contents.

Here is a squid recipe, which is a simpler version of the classic Greek
dish macaronatha. Squid meat is substituted for octopus meat. Squid is easier to obtain and they are usually sold already cleaned.
You will need the following ingredients:
1/2 cups elbow macaroni
1 pound squid, cleaned
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
2 bay leaves
1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1/2 cup grated Mizithra cheese
Cook the pasta for 10 minutes. Boil the squid for 10 minutes in 3 cups of water mixed with red wine vinegar. Drain and cut squid into bite-sized rings. Saute all other ingredients. Add white wine and lemon juice. Add the squid and boil for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and mix cooked pasta. Serve with grated cheese.
