Sometimes, when we are being invited to other homes during special holidays or
fun food feasts, the host would serve the food on the table with a stainless steel flatware instead of the usual party or disposable wares. Flatwares like spoons, forks, knives, teaspoons, and serving spoons are useful whenever there are guests for big gatherings or even during everyday routines. Unfortunately, after using these kitchen wares, few of us carelessly clean these wares, thus affecting the quality of the wares over time.
So, what do we need to do to take more care of these flatwares in our
lovely homes? Well, first of all, we have to remember that its stainless label does not guarantee total elimination of food stains. The stainless steel label merely indicates that it reduces the clinging of stains and leftovers on the wares, thus making it easy for them to be washed, compared to other tools. Second, we have to keep track of the food that we use with these flatwares.
There are some foods and ingredients such as salt, acid, vinegar, and eggs, that when in contact frequently with flatwares can damage the wares. Lastly, most
stainless flatwares are dishwasher-friendly, so it is imperative that after eating, we must wash them and dry them completely to retain its polished steel look.
